One of the most popular tourist activities, whale and dolphin watching has become a ‘must’ of the tourism industry. Some 40 years ago, at Caniçal, whale hunting was still an affair pretty much in order, but now both whales and dolphins live free, happy and in a large number of different species.
And try not to miss the seabirds, an outstanding population of species that chose the Atlantic as the perfect landscape and Madeira as the perfect home.
