Miguel Ângelo, Musician

A perfect day in Cascais is… A day at the beach in Guincho, gin at the evening in Fortaleza do Guincho bar, dinner (fish), in one of the restaurants in the centre of the village, going to Stairway for a concert.
Miguel Ângelo

The voice that celebrated Cascais Bay in a song had to give his testimony about the village. The proximity to the Atlantic and Sintra Hill, the distance from the city stress, and the experience of living in the (still) fishing village are the reasons to keep his roots in the council. Miguel Ângelo stands out Monte Estoril because he believes there it is still possible to breathe “other times”. But it is, of course, Cascais Bay he takes has his “own”. Even better if you start a walk there all the way to Guincho, always near the sea and stopping at Boca do Inferno. The musician, who, for 25 years, was the leading voice of Delfins but now takes on a solo career, likes to have the sea nearby during that walk. A perfect day, in his homeland, is spent in Guincho Beach, followed by a Gin at the Fortaleza do Guincho bar, or with fish at the table in one of the restaurants in the the village, and, inevitably, listening to a live band as the night ends.
