“Singing and living in Lisbon” are keywords to the happiness of Pedro Moutinho. Son and brother of fado singers, raised amidst shawls and guitars, it is not surprising that fado is his destiny and Lisbon his home. He was born in Oeiras, but it is in the city where the fado echoes that Pedro Moutinho created his home. As one would expect, the fado singer elects in the city the borough of Alfama, for its charisma and history, and also Mouraria, for being the “cradle of fado”. That’s why, in a perfect day in the “city with the most beautiful light in the world “, Pedro Moutinho likes to go down Liberdade Avenue in the late afternoon and get lost in the narrow streets of Mouraria, ending up in Portas do Sol watching the wonderful view over Alfama. In an equally perfect day, there is also a place to sing, like in the next 10th and 13th of December, when he will take the stage in Oporto Coliseum – Novo Ático and in Fado Museum, respectively, to present his new album, “Casa d’Água”.
