Susana Rico, Photographer

It is a city of sea and mountain, with a unique nature.

Born in Setúbal 37 years ago and living presently in Palmela. Her career started in the Marketing and Communications area, where she dedicated her attention to art direction, photography and digital marketing. She has spent part of her professional life working abroad, in countries such as Switzerland, the U.K and the U.S., where she collaborated with several designers, brands and agencies in content creation roles. The passion for photography has led her to produce several photographic projects, such as “Viragos”, that has been on display at several international and Portuguese galleries. In this project, one of her best professional and personal achievements, she calls upon the use of the tintype process, through which she depicts female motorcyclists representing the Virago spirit, where a woman reveals heroical and model qualities. Photography will remain in her future plans, as she dedicates herself to a new documental photographic project about Portuguese women and their great accomplishments, covering all professions, ages and regions.
