At the age of 12, Alexandre Camacho started to speed in karts. Nowadays, at 43, he is a record-breaker of Madeira Wine Rally – winner for five times, the last of which in 2022 – and also, regional champion for six times.
Born in Funchal, the pilot does not get bored of driving around his island, that he praises for the development, together with the nature in its wildest condition. And to explore this natural aspect of the island, he suggests: “we have excellent mountain trails – levadas -, but also natural pools, caves and obviously the sea, inviting for the practice of water sports “.
On his free time, the pilot who is also Corporate Sales Manager of ACIN, likes to explore the hidden treasures of Madeira, like the peaks, the belvederes and the rural areas, with some pauses to enjoy the regional gastronomy. As for Funchal, he can’t help but suggest an homage to “the great Cristiano Ronaldo”.
