Has dedicated his life to revealing Madeira to the world. Through his company, Adventureland, João de Brito Freitas takes the visitors to the most fantastic sites in the island. “I show Madeira as my paradise, and I suggest that you come to see it through my eyes”. Born in Madeira, at the city of Funchal, he treads through all the other municipalities to enjoy and present to others the more recondite and surprising spots of the island. And there are plenty, he assures us, contrary to what would be expected in a small-sized island such as Madeira. Having decided to contribute towards Madeira’s touristic development through several innovative activities, he feels accomplished when he sees a smile in his clients’ face; it’s maybe because they mirror what he really feels for this destination, and that brings him to affirm, without hesitation: “only in Madeira, do I find happiness”.
