VISIT GRÂNDOLA: HISTORY, BEACHES, RESTAURANTS AND DREAM HOTELS

WITH THE LARGEST EXTENSION OF BEACHES IN PORTUGAL AND PRAIRIES SPREADING BEYOND SIGHT, THE MUNICIPALITY IS CELEBRATED FOR ITS ‘CALL FOR LIBERTY’.

Troia Peninsula

Forever connected to one of the most important historic events in Portugal, the April 25th, 1974 Revolution, “Grândola, Vila Morena” – the censored revolutionary song that, when played on public radio on that date, gave the go-ahead to the military movement – became by its own merit, a symbol of liberty and of the implantation of such a noble value as Democracy. Forty six years have gone by and although the historic patrimony remains well alive, its relevance has not yet exhausted.

Grândola Village

Valued by its notable diversity, the council satisfies the curiosity of many throughout the seasons and for very distinctive reasons.
