General Terms of Use

1 – General Information and Page Presentation

1.1 These General Terms of Use set the rules of conduct that must be adopted while using Bestguide.pt and its respective channels and functions, applicable to every user.
1.2 By user we mean everyone who accesses Bestguide.pt, even if it is not registered as a member.
1.3 The navigation in the website is free and accessible to any user. However, some functions can only be accessed by registered users.
1.4 By signing up, the user agrees to respect the conditions of use and declares being of legal age (13 years old) and legal capacity for using it.
1.5 Bestguide.pt is a portal composed by a travel, leisure and cultural guide, integrating as well a community (social network) called MyGuide (https://myguide.iol.pt) and a booking page (bestguide.pt/reservas), both directed to the areas mentioned above.

2 – Content and Information

In the Bestguide.pt and Myguide.pt platforms the user is given the possibility of suggesting file cards, publishing articles, photographs, events, as long as related to tourism, travel, leisure and culture.
Given this, before sharing any kind of content, some questions must be taken in to consideration:

2.1 – The user declares that it is the owner of all content and information published in MyGuide.pt and Bestguide.pt and/or is responsible for the respective copyright’s, including photographs, texts, videos, graphics, among others. The user is obligated to comply the Copyright Code and Related Rights, the Industrial Property Code and the Computer Crime Law.
2.2 – The articles, opinions, suggestions and related content must fit in the themes of the website and the community (tourism, travel, leisure and culture), otherwise it might be excluded, if the content is out of context.
2.3 – The user must choose carefully the information disclosed through his personal profile, being strictly forbidden the promotion of content that offends any tird-party rights or that constitute any attack related with race, nationality, ethnic origins, religion, political belief or sex, that constitute defamation, theft incitement, fraud, violence, terrorism, sadism, prostitution, pedophilia, as well as osbcene, improper or pornographic content.
2.4 – Bestguide.pt, as a registered brand, identifies a portal with different channels, between them the myguide.pt and BestGuide Reservations, among other partner websites, in which the contents of the authors, partners and the colaborators might be posted, as long as the name of the author is identified.
2.5 – Bestguide.pt can select the best content from the MyGuide community, edit it and publish it in BestGuide Editions. For that purpose, the author of the content authorizes Bestguide to edit and/or publish in BestGuide that same content. If that happens, all the content published by BestGuide, via MyGuide, will always be identified with the author.
2.6 – Bestguide doesn’t account for, in any circumstances, any direct or indirect damages to the users or third-parties, related to the website or the community, namely, in consequence of the informations published.
2.7 – It is forbidden the transmission of SPAM
2.8 – The copyright holders must use the contact form to present notifications related to intelectual property.
2.9 – Bestguide.pt reserves the right to remove (with or without previous notice) any information published by the user, of removing the user’s profile and/or deny, limit, suspend or close access to the services (all or part) of the portal, if the users conditions of use or any law appliable to the community is violated.

3 – Links to third party websites

In bestguide.pt the user can find several links to external sites, suggested by the community‘s administration or by the users. BestGuide cannot take responsibility for the content shared by those sites, for they are entirely responsible for that content.

4 – Portal Registration

Para se registar no portal basta clicar em “Log In” (localizado no cabeçalho do site) e seguir os passos aí indicados. As informações pessoais que lhe solicitamos no registo destinam-se, apenas, a que possamos identificar o seu perfil.

4.1 – Os utilizadores registados aceitam as Regras Gerais de Utilização do site, bem como a receção de uma newsletter, sugestões e promoções do BestGuide e seus parceiros.

4.2 – O Bestguide permite aos profissionais das atividades de Turismo, Lazer e Cultura, registarem-se como associados e beneficiarem de uma série de vantagens especiais.

4.3 – O registo na comunidade MyGuide e no BestGuide são independentes e possibilitam o acesso a uma rede social e a um guia, respetivamente.

4.4 – A partir do momento em que o utilizador se regista e, no que diz respeito à criação de conteúdos e partilha de informações, compromete-se a respeitar as normas descritas, supracitadas na alínea 2, deste mesmo regulamento.

4.5 – Os serviços disponibilizados no BestGuide destinam-se ao uso pessoal dos utilizadores, ainda que possam ser utilizados como forma de divulgação ou promoção. No entanto, estão absolutamente proibidas todas as atividades com fins comerciais, exceto quando previamente autorizadas pelo BestGuide. O BestGuide reserva-se o direito de remover todos os conteúdos comerciais não autorizados.

5 – Privacy

Bestguide declares that respects the data privacy of every user.

5.1 – The personal info requested in the registration is just for profile identification purposes
5.2 – BestGuide doesn’t sell or give the emails or any other information of the users. However, users must be aware that every content and/or personal info voluntarily published in their personal page, will be made public and available for third party viewers.
5.3 – In what concerns the supply of content generated by users/community, on behalf of BestGuide, related to its channels/partnerships, the user agrees with the above mentioned norms, in the lines 2.4 and 2.5 of this same document.
